a new chapter in heather’s life

only a few weeks had passed since heather moved into pleasantview but she had already settled in well and gotten to know the people that lived there. the most interesting thing that had happened to her since starting her new job was moving in and eventually proposing to her fellow musician Stiles mcgraw whom she had had a passionate relationship with the prior week although she didnt know back then she only recently found out that he was a bit of a loner and somewhat of a outdoor person

with stiles having moved in with heather things got a little closer to usher in the second generation

LOL! I should’ve waited until I read this one πŸ˜‰ Watch out for Stiles–the loners have such a hard time with work (or school) and he’s going to need a lot of help from you to get through it! Good luck πŸ™‚

  2. blaze024 says:

loners are my speciality πŸ™‚ I’m also good with losers and hot headed sims the sims I hate trying to run are those with the grumpy and mean traits I absolutely hate those two traits oh and unflirty can be a hassle too at times

    • enkeli63 says:

Oooh, I hear you! I do not care for grumpy or mean sims either. I can always make a sim act mean if I want them too, but it’s sad for me when you make a sim be super nice to a grumpy or mean sim and you just don’t get anywhere. It’s too much like real life! LOL I like to pretend everyone is always nice πŸ˜‰

If any of my Legacy sims ever roll those traits, I will use the lifetime reward that lets you change, and I’ll roll again!

  3. blaze024 says:

me aswell that is what the reward is all designed for after all πŸ™‚ and in real life I also treat everyone nicely atleast unless they deserve otherwise I’m nice to a fault some say lol but ah well πŸ˜›

    • enkeli63 says:

HAHA! I could’ve said that exact same thing. We’re definitely very alike in real life and how we play the game. I’m so glad I met you πŸ˜€

  4. blaze024 says:

I’m glad aswell πŸ™‚ and funny thing is that I happened to stumble upon your legacy blog by pure accident and then decided to check out your the sims 3.com page and see if you had anything interesting in your studio lol (had to download that legacy house of yours) πŸ˜‰ but after reading your story and happen to see your wishlist I just had to make your day brighter by gifting the items I did πŸ™‚ oh and by the way I am glad we met too. and I know that we have many years of friendship ahead (or atleast I hope that lol)

    • enkeli63 says:

Oh yes, I think we have a long and beautiful friendship ahead. πŸ˜€

Just so you know–I took out all the paintings my sims had done because they don’t upload properly with the house anyways, and the tombstones and family members. I’m pretty sure I left a lot of pink diamonds in there though πŸ˜‰

  5. blaze024 says:

hehe those could definatly be used to fund heather’s household if they are on the lot lol might need a locksmith tho to pry open the door as there is none living there πŸ˜›

    • enkeli63 says:

I have an idea! I don’t know if this is true, but I’d posted on the site that I was sad theif sims couldn’t sneak into houses like the game guide says. And I was told that they can if there is a garage with a garage door attached to the house. So you could edit the house and add a garage…

Wait! It would be easier to edit the house and put the gems on the front lawn! lol I think a sim still needs to be a kleptomaniac in order to have a chance of picking them up though?

  6. blaze024 says:

true but thats where the testingcheatsenabled true cheat come in (so I can add klepto for heather and then change it back to normal after)

  7. enkeli63 says:

    Good idea!

Sometimes I make my sims “get a loan” and I give them some money with a cheat, and then later they “pay it back” with the familyfunds cheat to take money out of savings, with a little interest πŸ˜‰

  8. blaze024 says:

I have been tempted alot since I started to play my legacy to give some extra starting cash but I managed to not do so and instead earn my cash for building the house paying the bills and such by playing (and only playing besides the occational mooching) the guitar in the park for money

  9. enkeli63 says:

Yeah, for my Legacy family, that’s how I did it too (and collecting! That’s so profitable!) because I only want to use “reset sim” and “moveobjects on” cheats with them to fix weird problems. If I can at all help it. But for some other families I give them the loans–overall the game seems to be so much more fun without using cheats much.

  10. blaze024 says:

indeed the only “legal” cheat are those two atleast for legacy families by the way sorry if the updates are slow (watching some movies at the moment so the sims is on pause) but when done I’ll get to bringing in the 2nd gen by the way it was never explictly stated but is it allowed to force the game to produce lets say only females (by eating water melons) or do you have to “let it happen naturally) as in one time it might be a girl next time a boy or the other way around

  11. enkeli63 says:

Yes, it’s allowed. The rules thread is soooooo long, but Pinstar later confirmed that the apples and watermellons are allowed. Also, sims can cook with life fruits (and now make nectar with them) but for some weird reason, he was against using ambrosia? I don’t quite understand that rule, to be honest. I think it should be allowed because it does take a lot of work to get to the top of cooking, and high enough gardening and fishing to get the ingredients. I always like to force the gender for at least 2 pregnancies–so that I have an heir and a spare–and let nature run its course for other ones.

The sims 2 taught me how much you need a spare! lol I had some heirs and one was an alien! And then twin boys. Well, I messed up and lost track of time, so one of the twins aged up and didn’t get to go to college. I quickly paused and sent the other two on their way. Then a bad but funny thing happened to my heirs… there was a fire, my worst ever. And one heir died. I had the other one outside listening to her mp3 player, while the firemen were on their way, but that wasn’t enough distraction for her. She ran inside, saw her brother’s ashes, and literally jumped into the flames herself! LOL but 😦

  12. blaze024 says:

lol now that is what I call well cooked chicken πŸ˜› yeah spares are always best so he removed the life restriction eh? what about ghosts? are they now allowed to be part of the legacy house?

    • enkeli63 says:

We can use life fruit for anything that doesn’t extend lifespan (cooking with it, other than ambrosia, and nectars don’t, but still no eating raw life fruit 😦 ) He never changed the ghost rule, but that’s one I’m going against when I get to try again! Dorian deserves to have Candy back πŸ˜‰ I think as long as we don’t breed any ghost babies, there should be no problem. Candy will return to the Netherworld when Dorian’s time is up anyways. I think he just doesn’t want us to have immortal sims. When I get to have a mummy, I will do that too (I don’t know if it’s allowed or not), but I will eventually set it on fire for the “twice dead” photo opportunity! lol

  13. blaze024 says:

hehe I do have ghost mummies in my game which I can just put in the neighbourhood for that picture and plenty of ghosts too lol

    • enkeli63 says:

That’s awesome! I must say I am slightly jealous, but only because my game has not worked well enough to play it long enough to get a mummy *rolls eyes* However, at least I did find out that evil sims will always reconstruct a Cursed sarcophagus of kings, never a blessed one. So I can summon a mummy if I have canopic jars, or turn a sim into a mummy if I don’t have extra space in the family.

Could you test something for me, please? Another simmer said that you can apparently get the “twice dead” photograph by taking a picture of a ghost and a mummy in the same frame and it doesn’t have to be a ghost mummy. If you have any mummies you could try that with, I would love to know if it’s true!

  14. blaze024 says:

by the way I know this might not be the place to ask lol but whats your real name? reason I ask is cause I thought I’d use it as a name for one of the future (female) kids heather has

    • enkeli63 says:

Aww, what a sweet idea! I don’t mind telling you that my real name is Monica–afterall, ALL of my friends know my real name πŸ˜‰ Enkeli is a nickname that means “Angel” in Finnish. So how about you, what is your true identity? πŸ˜€

  15. blaze024 says:

lol I just raided your legacy house and I earned nearly 50.000 from selling all the collectibles that was left in your house (all diamonds and such)

    • enkeli63 says:

Sweet! You know you can convert gems into way more valuable gems right? With the XL collectibles gem case. I turned all but the pink diamonds into very valuable soulpeace gems after getting WA. And all the metals (except the plutonium needed for the storyline) into big bars of the same metal and sometimes I mixed them so I could get the supernovium.

  16. enkeli63 says:

P.S. my sister just called so I’ll read the new update soon!

  17. blaze024 says:

what gem case? I have never come across it before

    • enkeli63 says:

Oh, I’m glad I can tell you about something πŸ™‚

Okay, in the “Surfaces” tab where you find counters, tables and the like, you will see a new tab on the right, just before Misc. In there you will find very lovely display cases for your collectibles.

The biggest and most expensive one is called XL *something* (good memory, eh? lol) So you buy that and then move 8 gems, or metals, or basic relics onto it, then click the display case and there will be an option that’s something like “irreversable transfiguration Β§500” and that will change the collectibles into other stuff. Relics get turned into magic gnomes. Metals are either one big bar worth a lot (if you use all the same metal) or if you put an assortment of metal, you can get the supernovium. I haven’t figured out the whole thing with gems just yet, but it seems that the higher the total value of your gems on the case increases your chance of getting the extremely valuable soulpeace gem. I sent mine off to be heart cut, and they are all worth Β§18,000 and up!! WOW!

I don’t know the whole trick to the display case alchemy. It’ll take a lot more testing. Sometimes you get a crystal cut skull gem, and they look pretty cool. Other times you get a Large gem in one of the cuts and types that you used (ie, a Large Brilliant Cut Diamond). And then the soulpeace gems of course. I wish I knew how I did it, I really wanted a skull cut rainbow gem because I really love the rainbow gems. Every time I tried, I got soulpeace–probably because the rainbow gems are so valuable. But I had a sim who found an oval cut rainbow gem on vacation and it wasn’t worth as much. He used that and a bunch of other random gems from vacation and I got the rainbow skull. SO PRETTY! I hope I can figure out how to do it again. If you find a way to make that gem, please tell me πŸ™‚

  18. blaze024 says:

my name is Eirik by the way πŸ˜‰

  19. blaze024 says:

and sure I can try it a bit later and post a message about it

  20. blaze024 says:

the soulgems I have found quite a bit of from time to time in the egypt tombs especially the sphinx tomb

  21. blaze024 says:

hopefully you’ll get it fixed soon enough hun πŸ™‚ on that note sims for me havent crashed to desktop yet which is odd lol gotten used to its random crashes (and I havent done anything to try and stop it) it just did for the time beeing

    • enkeli63 says:

I’m glad it’s running stable for you, at least for the time being. I don’t mind playing around some minor bugs, but the error code 12 is horrid! One time it wiped out all my saves and that’s when I really lost my patience. I do keep back ups, but I was making back ups once a week and had definitely lost a lot of progress. It’s just too hard on me to always have to start over. Things don’t play out the same way the second time, and I always write my story to actually show what’s happened in my game. So a screenshot from something that didn’t happen in the current game isn’t right for me 😦

My sister doesn’t post online ever but she was just filling me in on all the bugs in her game. It’s such a crying shame! And not everyone gets the same bugs, so who knows if EA CAN fix this mess they made?

  22. blaze024 says:

indeed EA should of put more effort in before WA was released to adress these bugs and try and find ways to fix them

    • enkeli63 says:

They obviously don’t really play the game in order to test it. They test using a lot of cheats. I’m sure if they played a sim through his life and did random things like real players do, they would quickly see some of the problems that are taking the fun out of it for their “loyal” fan base.

Like when Sims 3 first came out and the toggle button for turning off Story Progression DIDN’T ACTUALLY WORK! I mean… how hard is it to test that one?!

  23. blaze024 says:

indeed to me it seems like they just “skinned” thought the testing and thought hey it works lets ship it which is no way to do it if they want to keep open as a buisness

  24. dustydreamer says:

    Oo…Stiles the musician..the loner too. :3
